hi,
this is the re-live of an old zombie-code. OTC6 was started in 2006 after tcetest made no and later such worse "evolution".
With the open gpl-code of the game-engine i was able to make the creation of an player-model for blender-3d. Its not high-res.
These are some recordings from this effort:

and with a bunch of 50 players on one map --- running at over 50 fps on one cpu.

the blender-2.61 file is in the new branch of otc6 for the use with the et-xreal(vers.0.3) engine at

otc6 milestone ...
..
for me.
A first version without any of the default et-paks.



larger video, with some old features like different shoot-origin
(un-aimed is really un-aimed shootin from hips-location)
most weapons are missing (the ak47 is from the "free-guns-for-et-pack").

And the simple textures are made too ... from my old trembling fingers ..

thanx to triffid - always nice to meet on a urbanterror-server ... Wink

... there is a search function in urbanterror .
just search for "gonzo" ..
most times its a sexy-server
and i play "capture-the-flag"-mode
cause i still have to limit my mouse-stress ...

you can also use qtracker. good thing is, you can run it in the background. you will get notified when a player with "gonzo" in his name connects to any server.

made me some headache,
cause the flag was clipped away, when the blue-team-player did trigger the flag-pull-up.
Dont know why it works now - but some of the flag-animation-ranges are a bit off.
(made with blender-3d, cloth-modifier and some wind)

ha,
blueberry dropped in yesterday on the sexy-urban-terror server
and
i said a view times "hallo"
but he stayed spectator.
Then i asked at blue whether he is doing some recording ... (and not joining a party)
..
and for the next time i had some marvellous hit-runs without another player stopping me ..
..
but after he joined a party .. it soon was the same like before (and the think no one notices).


another point to my modding-coding-thing:
i have now hacked together a small c-prg to check the bump-mapping of my created textures
using glsl-shader - cause etxreal refuses to do it (even it was promised in some dead developer statements of it).

maybe there will follow a screenshot about this tool-hacking .. thing

ahhh test, i started up qtracker while i was still eating and saw you online. then i joined and said hi a few times but you didn't see and i went back to desktop to check mail and watch some videos, thats why i was afk so long. but i have to say, i really enjoyed the game after a first round of struggling with the controls and the fast pace. i will sure play some more urt again. it's just a brilliant and well balanced game. sorry if i missed some chat messages, i was trying pretty hard to cap and score Very Happy

another little step,
made the first part of the 1st-person-view weapon-animation.
Still with simple skeleton like meshes.

short one only to demonstrate the changes to the same recorded game
in the former videos. Now with bump-mapping and mesh-animation in
1st-person-weapon-view.
