And yeah... there will be zombies in this game.
Soooo... that might literally be the last nail to the coffin.
Not going to buy this game. |
you don't have to play the zombies, its a coop feature independent of the multiplayer game. but i'm not gonna be trying to convince you here... i know what you like about games and what not, so as sad as it is, i guess we're not going to meet us on any cod game anyway. |
Well, we will see.
CoD8 comes out after x-mas.

I think I'm going to preorder it. does anyone have a good advice where to get it?
I heard rumours that the uncut UK version may cause problems when verifying the cd-key with a german steam account.

I hope there will be some custom content capabilities. And with a little bit of luck (and hopefully mod tools/editor) I can finally start porting the standard TC:E 0.49 maps into CoD madness.
If they dont lock the complete running game code, there will be also a slim chance of recreating a bit of TrueCombat feeling.

I just read that the devs say that it is going to support mods.

...as the studio noted that the features will be implemented sometime after the game's launch on November 9. |
|
|
"We plan to open the game up for modding sometime post-launch," a Treyarch PC representative wrote... |
|
|
"We do not know yet to what extent you will be able to mod the game. There are some purely technical issues related to engine and internal tool enhancements that do not easily fit the modtools..." |
doesnt sound good though...

well it has Valves self developed cheat protection named VAC.
critics say that it has not the capabilities of PB but as we know
from TCE even PB can't reliably fight cheaters. so as far as I have
read, black ops is going to be just like Modern Warfare 2 but with new weapons,
a slightly different setting, new features e.g. an advanced customization system,
new game modes, a different XP and a new currency system (ingame money) and
last but not least (which might be the best thing) dedicated servers. so...all in all it
is supposed to be quite a big thing.

i preordered on amazon.co.uk yesterday.
btw: i dont care much about which cheat protection is used, as long as there are dedicated servers....

"Ingame money" usually means that you spend real money to get fake money worth of nothing.
Maybe you must spend $5 to get access to dedicated servers everytime you play?
how much did the preordering will cost?
40€?
what about the dedicated servers, can you create your own, or do some company own the rights and you have to buy one from them?
how does it work?
is this game the same than on consoles? lean? what kind of FOV? any other bs?

You get money like in CS, Bio! If you play more or less good you can buy some new nice-looking stuff for you weapon etc.
Of course - d3im0s told me - you can write "Team Gonzo" to your weapon and every time when you get killed by the big KM I'll use your wepon with the label "Bionic - the gayed snot"
And so on. Hehehehhehe!
AN THAT PIC IS NICE - HAHAHAHAHA!!!

about that ingame money: it won't cost real money and there will never be anything like a monthly fee or stuff like that for black ops, thats confirmed.
preorder was 41 gbp, thats around 45 €.
