They were very big during the 70s and 80s.
I have all the series on video and a couple of films too on DVD.
Try downloading the films "The Life Of Brian", "The Meaning of Life" and "The Holy Grail" from Limewire and you should laugh until it hurts.

since multimedia expand "east-germany" ive 2 listen to this Monty Python thing from nearly every 2nd person...the cause is my firstname "Brian" watched movies like "The Life Of Brian"/"The Meaning of Life"/ and "Ritter der Kokusnuss" (think is "The Holy Grail") sooooo often....great humour....like this part with the "Killerrabbit"...each time i see how the Black Knight lost his extremities i split ones sides with laughing...miss such sence of humour in germany...but it will go on i think, just have a look at our Federal Chancellor...
